Why?
Who, what, when, where and how are all basic question of the student. When you are developing the basic steps of Bible study for your own benefit you should also add why. The western civilization under the influence of Greek and Roman philosophers always learned to ask the how questions. The Hebrews always asked the why. Learn not to worry about the hows and accept them on faith. In all cases the hows are there but chasing them can be a detractor from your study of the Bible. When you ask why, you start to understand the reasons for the biblical happenings and they become more real to you.
