There is a need right now for general contractors in Northern California to do some pro-bono work. Okay, maybe they don’t call it that in the construction field, but there are many families who desperately need some help and can’t afford the outrageous prices that contractors are charging. Now, I can understand why prices went up. With the economy busted, contractors probably don’t get much work. So they raise their prices, hoping to make enough with one or two jobs to cover them for the month. It makes sense, but it doesn’t help those who really need some assistance. If you are a contractor, start thinking about volunteering a bit. You’ll be glad you did.
