Now that my kids are ten, eight and five years old, I have finally figured out the secret to traveling with all of them on long car trips. Well, actually there are few secrets. The first is to make sure we have packed enough snacks and water bottles in a cooler, because nothing disturbs the peace faster than hungry and thirsty kids. But we recently learned that bringing along a portable dvd player for car trips was the key to our family peace and happiness.
