It is fun to take day trips during the summer to explore the state.  There is much exciting history to be found for less than a gas tank.  I can recall visiting Schoenbrunn Village and travelling through all of the sites.  I was particularly intrigued by the Cabin Furniture of the era.  People of today just do not appreciate all of the luxuries we have.  Even when we think our furniture is run down and ugly, it is much better than the furniture that people had in the eighteenth century.  Except for the most elite, there was no padding on the furniture.  Ouch!
