The Warning Signs of Compulsive Eating
Normally, compulsive eating will be characterized by uncontrollable eating that is followed by feelings of shame and guilt. Compulsive eating is different than bulimia in the fact that it doesn’t involve any purging. One thing that you need to keep in mind is that not everyone that is overweight actually has a binge eating disorder. The warning signs of compulsive eating are eating uncontrollably or bingeing, fasting, vomiting, vigorous exercise, purging by strict dieting, using laxatives in attempt to lose weight, using the bathroom frequently after meals, depression, mood swings and preoccupation with body weight.
