The Difference between Pilates Matwork and Apparatus Classes
If you are thinking about participating in and Pilates class, keep in mind that there is a difference between matwork and apparatus classes. Matt were classes are typically done any group and use a variety of movements performed standing and on and pilates exercise mat. Sometimes other pieces of equipment are also incorporated. Instruction for apparatus classes is done on large specialized equipment such as the Reformer Wunda Chair or Ladder Barrel. These classes are usually done one to one or in small semi-private groups.
