This election was a disgrace to America. McCain was a weak candidate at best - I said that from day one. This middle of the road baloney will get us all nowhere. We are dealing with the radical left who would flock around an empty suit that speaks in platitudes and makes false promises. We can not move towards their side to try and play nice - that is obviously a recipe for failure. Americans who care should fight for their principles and if necessary play by the same dastardly rules that other side uses. We can’t expect better if we allow people to be fed revisionist history, biased education, and celebrate the least important and fleeting elements of society. This is about this country turning away from the core principles that it was founded upon. Our founding fathers would be appalled by what has happened to America over the last century. The constant shredding of our Constitution is a shame. The imbalance of powers in the three branches is a shame. Policies being jammed down our throats by untouchable judicial fiat is a shame. Ultimately we all have no one to blame but ourselves and the poor choices we make as a society. The last time this kind of overall control of the federal government was held by the democrats was under Jimmy Carter - we all know how great that went. I’m not the praying type, but I hope and pray that at some point America can find her way. I hope and pray that the right people will rise up and dedicate themselves to turning this slow slide into tyranny around. We will survive and act like the good plebs that our oppressive government wants us to be - we will pay more taxes and expect less for ourselves and our families. The next stop is the fairness doctrine coming back and our cost of living being increased and quality of life being decreased to fund phony global warming hysteria.  I am scared not so much for us, but for the future generations who will have to bear the burden of our current indiscretions.
