If you approach the stock market with that attitude, the chance is great that you will make aggressive moves that will work against you. It’s better to invest slowly and have patience about letting your money grow over time. There are times when you can invest for the short term but those require special strategies. Don’t do it unless you know you won’t need the money soon. I you will need it soon but still want to invest short-term, stick with conservative investments like certificates of deposit.
