Although the primary reason to learn how to play piano is desire, there are some advantages you may not have considered. When my child first wanted to learn how to play piano, I was pleased at her desire, but then somewhat shocked by the cost. From the first lesson, however, I have not regretted the decision to go ahead. Not only has she grown in talent, but in patience, and is developing great organizational skills. Playing the piano builds all three. Now, years after beginning, I find that I may even retrieve some of my financial investment. It’s college time and because she has worked hard and plays very well, scholarship offers are arriving in the mail. I find that not all scholarships are academic or sports related.
